Are you interested in fostering connection and building community? We invite you to become a Saturday Social host!

Adding Your Event to the Calendar

Once you're ready to share your social gathering with our community, you'll use the Saturday Social Event Submission form. Please complete this form in its entirety, including your preferred date and time. For privacy and convenience, we kindly request that you provide only a general location, such as "our home" or "a local park." After your form is submitted and reviewed, our team will promptly add your event to Breeze, our church member management software, and feature it on our website. You'll receive automated emails from Breeze as people sign up, with their contact information. Please contact your attendees the week of your event to confirm the final date, time, and specific location.

The beauty of Saturday Socials is the incredible flexibility and creativity they offer. As a host, the world truly is your oyster! You have the freedom to choose any Saturday, time, and location that suits you, along with the activity you wish to share. You can even limit the number of attendees to ensure a comfortable gathering. From delightful dinners and invigorating walks in the park to cozy craft and game nights, as well as visits to the local farmer's market, the possibilities for building fellowship are endless. We encourage you to dream up an event that reflects your passions and brings people together!

When, Where and What

  1. Navigate to the "Saturday Social" page, which you'll find under "Connection" in the AidansChurch.org top menu.
  2. Take a peek at the calendar and pick a date that's open and works best for you!
  3. Dream up the kind of event you'd love to host – the sky's the limit!

Fill Out The Form

  1. Fill out the host form completely. 
  2. Don't forget to include a link to a fun photo of yourself, or let us know if you'd like us to use your Breeze photo!
  3. Your fantastic event will be posted on the website the following Monday for everyone to see!

Contacting Your Guests

  1. You'll start receiving sign-ups via email through Breeze, with your guests' contact information.
  2. You might notice a green button at the bottom of these emails, but please know that it won't work for you – so feel free to ignore it! It's a current system limitation. 
  3. About a week before your event, we'll send you a little reminder to reach out to your wonderful guests.
  4. Connect with your confirmed guests to share all the exciting details and the location of your gathering.

During the Event

  1. Then, it's time to host your amazing event and enjoy connecting with everyone!
  2. Be sure to snap some fun photos during your social to capture those special moments.

After The Event

  1. Afterward, simply upload your event photos to the shared church Google Drive.
  2. And finally, we'd love for you to fill out the form for your next Saturday Social – because we know you'll want to host again!
